By accessing and using DualBook you accept and agree to be bound by these terms. DualBook is an independent product operated by its founder from Vietnam. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
DualBook provides AI-powered book translation, audiobook generation, and bilingual reading services. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
A paid plan (Starter or Pro) is an auto-renewing monthly subscription. It grants monthly allowances of reading hours, summaries and summary listens, which reset at the start of each billing period and do not carry over.
Payment. In the iOS app, payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. In the Android app, it is charged to your Google Play account. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe.
Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same price and period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
Managing and cancelling. A subscription bought in the iOS or Android app is managed and cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings. A subscription bought on the web is managed from Subscription & Billing in DualBook. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan until the end of the period already paid for. You may upgrade or downgrade at any time; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
Whole audiobooks. Narration of a whole book is a one-time purchase, separate from any plan. Each purchase narrates one book up to the length it was bought for (2, 5, 10 or 20 hours). It does not renew and does not expire.
Prices. The price is always shown before you pay, in your local currency where the store supports it, and may differ between countries and platforms.
Refunds. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. For purchases made on the web, contact support@dualbook.net.
If you downloaded DualBook from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict regarding the iOS app, the Standard EULA applies.
You retain all rights to your uploaded content. By uploading content, you grant DualBook a license to process and translate your materials to provide our services. DualBook and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DualBook and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are responsible for having the right to upload and translate every file you submit. Do not upload copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to process. DualBook is a tool for translating books you are authorised to use; it is not a way to obtain or distribute pirated editions. You also may not use the service to transmit malicious code or to break applicable law. We remove content and suspend accounts on credible reports of infringement.
DualBook is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
DualBook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the service. Your continued use of DualBook after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, where the service is operated. Disputes that cannot be resolved directly will be handled by the competent courts of Vietnam.
