Each paragraph of the original, followed immediately by its translation, in one EPUB that opens in any reader. Read the original first and glance down only when a sentence stops making sense.
The first 15 pages of text are sent to our server to be translated. The file itself stays on your device.
A bilingual book is the oldest way to read in a language you are still learning, and still the best one: the safety net is already on the page, so an unfamiliar sentence costs you a glance rather than a lookup. No dictionary, no tapping, no losing your place.
This builds one from your own EPUB. Your browser opens the file, finds every paragraph, and inserts the translation as a sibling paragraph directly underneath — inside the original file, so the chapters, the table of contents and the cover all survive intact.
Pairing is by position, not by matching text afterwards. That distinction matters: a tool that re-matches text can slip by one paragraph and pair every line with the wrong translation, and the result looks perfectly normal until somebody actually reads it.
A DRM-free EPUB. The file stays on your device throughout — the bilingual version is assembled in your browser, not on a server.
It writes a guide of names, places and tone from the entire book, so the same character is not called two different things thirty pages apart.
Each paragraph gets its translation as a sibling paragraph, styled so your eye can tell them apart. The original file's structure is preserved byte for byte apart from what we add.
Stacked layout works on a phone, which is where most reading happens. Open it in the browser reader here, or put it on your ereader.
The layout is stacked, not side-by-side columns. EPUB reflows text, so true facing columns fight the format. Stacked is also the only layout that works on a phone.
The first fifteen pages get translations. The rest of the book stays in the file in its original language, with a marker at the cut.
The text is sent to a server. The converters on our tools page never upload anything; this one has to, because the model does not live in your browser. The text is discarded when the job ends, and the file is never uploaded at all.
The trap is real: your eye will drift to the easy column. Read the original paragraph first, every time, and let yourself be confused for a moment before you look down. Read the translation first and you will finish the book having practised very little.
Same engine, different output. The translate tool replaces the original text; this one keeps both, with the translation under each paragraph.
Yes. Your browser rebuilds the archive entry by entry and changes only the chapter files it inserts into, so the cover, the table of contents and the metadata come through untouched.
Stacked — original paragraph, then translation underneath. Side-by-side columns need a wide screen and fight the way EPUB reflows text.
Kindle has accepted EPUB directly since 2022, so yes. Send it to your Kindle address or copy it across.
It reads any EPUB with real text. Fifteen target languages are offered; the source is detected automatically.
