Upload a Hindi EPUB and get the first fifteen pages back in English. Hindi has a different word for each kind of uncle, and English has one — which is how an English reader loses track of who is related to whom.
The first 15 pages of text are sent to our server to be translated. The file itself stays on your device.
चाचा, ताऊ, मामा and फूफा are four different men with four different places in a family, and each of them is "uncle" in English. In a novel where family structure carries the plot, collapsing them is not a rounding error; it removes the information the scene depended on. A good translation keeps the relation where it matters, and the only way to know where it matters is to have read the book.
The same applies to the honorific plural: one respected person is addressed with plural verbs, which in English becomes nothing at all unless the register carries it.
So the model reads the whole text first and builds a guide of the cast, their relationships, their names and the recurring terms, and each page of the sample is translated against it — which is what keeps a character from being introduced twice under two different words.
A DRM-free EPUB. The file stays on your device; only the text of the sample is sent.
The family structure and the cast are mapped first, so kinship terms are translated with the relation intact where it matters.
About 4,500 words as a complete EPUB you can download or read here.
Three forms of address become one. तू, तुम and आप all become "you". The relationship each one declares has to be rebuilt in tone, and some of it does not cross.
Kinship precision costs words. Where the relation matters, English needs a phrase to say what Hindi said in one word — which is longer and more explicit than the original.
Fifteen pages, not the book. About 4,500 words.
The text is sent to a server and discarded when the job finishes.
They are translated with the relationship preserved where the book depends on it, and simplified where it would only clutter. What is guaranteed is consistency: the same term is handled the same way each time, so one relative does not become two people across a chapter break.
Yes, as register rather than as grammar — English has no plural-of-respect, so the deference has to show in how the sentence is phrased. Reading the whole book first is what makes that steady instead of appearing at random.
They come through naturally. Hindi prose routinely carries English words, and the translation reads them as part of the text rather than as foreign matter to be flagged.
About 4,500 words, roughly fifteen pages, five books a day.

The app translates the entire book and can show the English beside the Hindi, so a relationship the English had to flatten is still visible in the original.
