Each English paragraph with its Swedish translation directly beneath it, in one EPUB. Read the English first; the Swedish is there for the paragraph you would otherwise have skimmed.
The first 15 pages of text are sent to our server to be translated. The file itself stays on your device.
Swedish and English are close relatives, which makes the parallel form useful in a particular way: most of the page is easy, so what you gain is not comprehension but precision. The two or three sentences per chapter you half-understood and moved past are answered immediately, and the definite article riding on the end of a Swedish noun — the thing that makes a familiar word look unfamiliar — becomes obvious once you see the English above it.
Your browser opens the EPUB, walks each paragraph and inserts the Swedish beneath it as a sibling paragraph inside the original file. Only the chapter documents that receive a translation are rewritten, so cover, navigation, stylesheet and metadata survive as they were.
The inserted paragraphs are styled to wrap, because Swedish compounds into single words what English keeps apart, and a long one in a narrow column is what makes most hand-made bilingual files scroll sideways.
A DRM-free EPUB. The bilingual file is assembled in your browser, not on a server.
Names and recurring terms are fixed once, so a noun keeps the same gender and form across chapters.
Each translation is styled beneath its paragraph and set to wrap, so a long compound cannot overflow the page.
A complete EPUB carrying the book's own fonts and stylesheets.
Your eye will go to whichever language is easier for you. Read the English paragraph first, every time — the discipline matters more when both languages are within reach, because skipping is effortless and invisible.
Fifteen pages get translations. The rest of the book stays in English inside the same file.
The text is sent to a server and discarded when the job ends. The file never leaves your device.
English first, every paragraph. With two closely related languages the temptation to drift to the easier one is constant and easy to miss, so make it a rule rather than a preference.

Yes. The browser rebuilds the archive entry by entry and only rewrites the chapter files that received a translation, so everything else passes through untouched.
