Translate an English book into Korean

Upload an English EPUB and get the first fifteen pages back in Korean. Korean makes you choose a speech level for every single sentence — and the English original gives you nothing to choose from.

The first 15 pages of text are sent to our server to be translated. The file itself stays on your device.

There is no neutral Korean sentence. Every verb ending declares the relationship between speaker and listener, so translating a line of English dialogue means first deciding whether these two people are on formal, polite or plain terms. English marks none of that, and a translator working paragraph by paragraph guesses afresh each time.

Reading the whole book first removes the guessing. The guide fixes each pairing once, so a character does not address their superior formally on one page and casually on the next — which in Korean is not a wobble in style but a different relationship entirely.

Names need the same discipline. English names are transliterated into Hangul, and a name spelled two ways across one book is the most visible inconsistency there is.

How it works

  1. Choose your English EPUB

A DRM-free EPUB. The file stays on your device; only the text is sent.

  2. The model reads the whole book

Every pairing of characters gets a speech level, decided once from the whole book.

  3. The first 15 pages come back in Korean

About 4,500 words, translated as continuous prose so a shift in register reads as a shift rather than as noise.

  4. Download, or read it here

A complete EPUB. Hangul renders in essentially every reader, and the file keeps its own styling.

What this free tool does not do

Speech level is inferred, not given. The English never stated it. The guide makes the inference consistent; it cannot make it authoritative.

Fifteen pages, not the book.

The text is sent to a server and discarded when the job finishes.

Name transliteration follows convention, not fandom. If a name already has an established Korean spelling among readers, the model may not know it — but it will not contradict itself.

Questions

How are formal and casual speech decided?

The whole book is read and the relationships mapped before anything is translated, then the decision holds. That is why the register does not drift mid-chapter.

How are English names written in Hangul?

By conventional transliteration, and whichever form is chosen is used identically throughout the book.

Will Hangul display properly in the file?

Yes. Only the text changes; the book's fonts and stylesheets are left alone, and Hangul is supported everywhere.

How much is free?

About 4,500 words, roughly fifteen pages. Counted in words, so long and short books get the same allowance. Five books a day.

Translate the whole book

The app translates the entire book with the same engine and shows the Korean beside the English.
