Each German paragraph with its Italian translation directly beneath it, in one EPUB. Read the German first; the Italian is there for the clause whose verb you were still waiting for.
The first 15 pages of text are sent to our server to be translated. The file itself stays on your device.
For an Italian reader the hard thing about German is not vocabulary but suspense: the word that decides what a clause means often arrives last, and until it does you are holding the whole sentence open. A dictionary is no use at that moment, because nothing is missing — you simply have not reached the end yet. Seeing the same content rebuilt in Italian order, paragraph after paragraph, is what turns that from an obstacle into a rhythm you can anticipate.
The compounds work the same way. One German word, three Italian ones, visible side by side often enough that the pattern of how compounds come apart becomes familiar.
Your browser opens the EPUB, walks each paragraph and inserts the Italian beneath it inside the original file, rewriting only the chapter documents that received a translation.
A DRM-free EPUB. The bilingual file is assembled in your browser, not on a server.
Recurring compounds and terms are fixed once, so the same German word gets the same Italian phrase throughout.
Each translation is styled beneath its paragraph — and German's capitalised nouns make the two blocks distinguishable before you read a word.
A complete EPUB carrying the book's own fonts and stylesheets.
Your eye will go to the Italian. Read the German paragraph first, every time — and with this pair, read it to the end before deciding you did not understand it.
Fifteen pages get translations. The rest of the book stays in German inside the same file.
Long compounds wrap rather than overflow, which is what keeps the page from scrolling sideways on a phone.
The text is sent to a server and discarded when the job ends. The file never leaves your device.
German first, every paragraph, and all the way to the end of the clause — the verb that resolves it is usually the last thing you reach.
Because the difficulty is structural. German's word order and compounding have no Italian counterpart, and the only efficient way to absorb them is to see the same content built both ways, repeatedly, in real prose.
Yes. Kindle has accepted EPUB directly since 2022; email the file to your device or copy it across.
